This was one very cool wedding to photograph that featured some beautiful locations, two super families, a rockin’ reception, tears, laughter and a couple that looked simply ‘right’ together. Instead of me going on and on, I decided to ask Lauren to give some details about her amazing day. So, in her words and my images, enjoy the blog post.
WHERE WAS THE WEDDING?
Ceremony: St Patricks Church Hill, The Rocks
Reception: The Starship, Sydney harbour
THEME OR STYLE:
We went for French inspired vintage glamour but I would actually say it ended up being a bit of a mish-mash of Lauren & Matt! I did all of the decorating myself with help from my Mum, dad & Sister in sourcing everything!
BRIDE’S DRESS:
Carla Zampatti
BRIDE’S SHOES:
Mollini
JEWELLERY/ACCESSORIES:
http://www.hollywoodstyle.com.au/
HAIR & MAKEUP:
Hair was done by my long time hairdresser Trish and Makeup done by a dear friend Jacob Stanley
Both inspired by Parisian glamour
GROOMSMEN:
Suits from Oxford
THE FLOWERS:
Hayfever Flowers – Christina Hay
THE CAKE:
Eiffel Tower by celebrations
INVITATIONS & STATIONERY:
We made them ourselves with the help of a friend Michelle Tye who runs her own small stationery business
FOOD & DRINK:
Canapés by the Starship
Fusion Brewing (a brewing business owned by our friends) provided the beer
BOMBONIERE:
We didn’t have one but people captured memories on the night in a photobooth
A MEMORABLE MOMENT:
Matt rocking out on his Gibson guitar (a gift from me) and his grooms-lady revealing that he’d said “its perfect, just like my chicken” when he received it. Also our “fail” of a high five in the church!
THE HONEYMOON:
2.5 weeks in Vietnam travelling south to north

Matt proposed to Lauren in spectacular style on location in Paris looking out from their apartment in the shadow of Sacre-Coeur.

Happy to be married – YOU BET!

I had a ball photographing this bridal party with laughs all round all day.

Matt with his surprise gift from Lauren which just took the day beyond perfect for Matt.

I asked Lauren to pick a favourite image and this is the one. A brief quiet moment on the deck of the boat surrounded by harbour lights in the arms of her new husband.

This photo came in a close 2nd as Lauren’s favourite.
