A wedding with a twist, plenty of emotion, a bride like no other and some awesome light – this wedding had it all.
Kristina and Jason both made their preparations and held their reception at Magenta Shores Resort just north of The Entrance – what a great place for a wedding, I never tire of going there. They each had an apartment to get ready – next door to one another! For a change, the guys seemed more nervous than the girls but they have been for a very good reason.
The girls didn’t know they were going to be bridesmaids! That’s right, Kristina had invited four of her best and closest friends to help her with her preparations with no mention of being bridesmaids. It wasn’t until the wedding dress was brought out that Kristina brought out a bouquet for each of the girls and asked them to accompany her down the isle. There were tears, laughter, hugs, some more tears and lots more laughter – it was beautiful.
Kristina was arrived in a bright yellow porsche, driven by her father to Holy Cross church at Kincumber and the ceremony was full of emotion.
Following the family photos it was off to Terrigal with just the two of them for some “alone time” to soak it all in before we headed for the golf course to meet the rest of the bridal party for a few more photos. Kristina decided to take the wheel of the porsche on the way to Magenta Shores and drove it like it should be driven – the top down, fierce accelerations, arms in the air, wind in the hair and a huge smile. I think Jason was just holding on with his short married life flashing before his eyes.
We captured some gorgeous images at Magenta before the reception where there was more laughter, tears and emotion – everything a wedding should have.
Below are a few images from the day and a beautiful letter that Kristina emailed while away. I hope Kristina doesn’t mind me adding the letter but it’s notes like these that make me feel so lucky that I get to do what I do and I just had to share it – thanks again guys, see you both soon.
Hi Andrew,
