I arrived a little early to Morpeth where the girls were getting ready so I half expected to walk into a house of people running around, applying last minute touch ups, making sure they had everything – instead I found a very relaxed Jen with hair and makeup complete and enjoying a small snack. She was anxious to get into her dress but patiently waited while I quickly photographed it and all the details. Photographing the girls was simple as they were all absolutely stunning and just loved being in front of the camera.
The complete wedding was held at the Hunter Valley Gardens so I was off to the chapel to find a super nervous Mitch waiting. The nerves seemed to settle upon the arrival of his lovely bride.
Following the ceremony Mitch and Jenny stepped out of the church and immediately back in as rain started bucketing down. Thankfully it only lasted a short time and we were able to spend a couple of hours golf carting through the Gardens in gorgeous light offered by the overcast sky. The group didn’t allow the weather to affect their mood and there were smiles all round from everyone and no complaints while shooting in the drizzle for a little bit.
Once at the reception, the Garden Terrace sheltered the guests from the wet weather, the tables were decorated with gorgeous red feather centrepieces and the cake was topped with cartoon versions of Mitch dipping Jen in mid dance.
Mitch had to step up and take the lead during the bridal waltz with Jen being a dance teacher, I knew we were in for a treat – some of the moves were amazing and well done Mitch to learning them all!
Congratulations and see you both soon. Ash xx
