I’m very proud to present the marvellous wedding of two very special friends, Addy and Aaron. No amount of weddings I ever photograph, could possibly take away the joy of shooting two people you know, and love, on their wedding day.
It was an incredibly special time for Addy, to have all her family and friends arrive from France for the celebrations. I’ve gotten to know Addy and Aaron’s family over the years and this was really not only a coming together of two amazing people, but of two awesome families, countries and cultures.
I can honestly say I have never had more fun at a wedding reception – ever! France and Australia literally should get married because we would be an amazing party country. Together we can certainly turn a wedding reception into one hell of a celebration!
The reception kicked off with serviettes being waved by the Frenchies as the couple entered the room, and later, spoons were clinked on tables to demand the couple kiss. The speeches brought the house down with their hilarious anecdotes and Addy’s friends had made a special video from France.
Once the music started, conga lines (of which even Aarons grandad couldn’t get out of) were formed and there was a round of limbo, some traditional French dances that involved thumbs?!?, as well as a very talented frenchie doing the splits on the dance floor.
And if this starts to paint a picture of a wild reception, then multiply it by 10!
All the best to the new Mrs & Mrs Dennis and congratulations on such a wonderful wedding, may the little Ellie look back on these photos and think, “ My family is crazy!”
Also a very special thanks to Ash who allowed me put the camera down and join the conga line. Xx
