When speaking to couples, brides in particular, I find their greatest concern about their wedding day is rain! Especially when they are planning an outdoor ceremony.
Obviously, you can’t control the weather but you can take some steps to reduce your anxiety and stress about a wet wedding day. In this 10 minute video, I share 9 different back up options to consider if it rains on your day.

Great advice Andrew!
I would ditto all of that, and say that for the ceremony, as much a great location is a wonderful thing, it really is secondary to the ceremony experience.
You must have a wet weather back up plan and be prepared and happy to use it. As long as people are comfortable, can see, can hear, then they will ‘experience’ the ceremony and they will ‘feel’ the emotion.
With my ceremonies it is about sharing the couples story, an intimate portrait of their life and love. When you and your guests are engaged in the ceremony itself, the surrounding location is less important.
Then afterwards, Andrew will take you all sorts of indoor/outdoor locations for fantastic photos!

Thanks for your comments Sarah!
I know from experience that no one delivers a ceremony the way you do and what you say is so true and often forgotten in all the planning – it’s the ceremony experience for the couple that should be the central focus of a wedding.
A beautiful and heartfelt ceremony sets up the rest of the day to be perfect. Fantastic photography and an awesome reception seems to flow seamlessly if the ceremony is full of emotion, heartfelt and honest words.
It is always something we stress. Its just so lucky we are blessed with a great contingency of our our terrace with backdrop of mountains and golf course.
Many people don’t consider this when booking their ceremony. Well done Andrew!
Thanks for your comments Alvin – Wet weather should in no way affect the enjoyment of your wedding day!
A little planning and everything should be right as… rain 🙂
How many people can you comfortably fit on your terrace at Gosford Golf club?
On the Gosford Golf Terrace we can cater for 110 people with 30 seated and the rest standing all under cover.
Thanks Alvin – that’s ample for most Central Coast weddings.
