I met Bec in the home of the best coffee in Hirafu and possibly Hokkaido – The Niseko Supply Company cafe – although she may offer another opinion…
Armed with notepad, pen, digital SLR camera, town map and a phone, she caught my attention when photographing the back of one of the waitresses in the cafe. My first guess was graphic designer but learned she’s a food blogger.
Bec’s husband is an avid skier and like all of us, loves to experience the mountains and resorts all over the world. As a non-skier, Bec found something else to do while travelling from ski resort to ski resort – blog about and review the different cafes in each of the resort towns.
She’s had some curious looks when asking for an affogato in the snowy town of Hirafu but says she found the perfect one at the Green Farm Cafe.

Affogato: a coffee-based dessert which includes a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso. Some variations also include a shot of amaretto or other liqueur.
