I was lucky enough to be part of a pretty cool shoot earlier this week – the brief was to get some nice shots of Amy. Amy and I had the easy part in this shoot, all I had to do was snap away while she just had to look gorgeous. The real workers on this shoot were the stylist/make up artist and the hairdresser.
Sam Woods from Vibrant Concepts as usual, worked her magic at very short notice and put together a look for Amy that suited her perfectly. I still marvel at Sam’s ability to look at someone and make a call on colours, styles, fabrics and accessories that will work together. I usually find myself just nodding away, pretending I have an opinion but really just loving everything she does. If only she was available for every shoot.
I can’t go any further without mentioning Rochelle Rosier from the Hair Junkie Salon at Wamberal for her creative flair – the way she and Sam bounced ideas off each other was great to be a part of. Amy sat back while the girls went to work, both doing their own thing with hair and makeup simultaneously.
The interesting thing about this shoot was I had sent a couple of emails across to Sam and Rochelle for ideas and somehow our wires were crossed in the process. All my image ideas were of brunettes and when Amy walked through the door with a mass of blonde both women just about fainted. They both had preconceived ideas that were dispatched in an instant. True to their skills they both worked their magic and below are some of the shots I captured.
Thanks again Sam, Rochelle and Amy – for a memorable shoot.

Nice one Andrew! I love the sepia shot with the striped wall-paper.
