I am by no means a landscape photographer but like so many photography enthusiasts, I’ll have a go at anything – even if it’s for just a little fun, some self gratification, hone some skills or just playing around.
Last week while out walking Roxy, our little schnauzer along the rocks at Terrigal, I thought I’d bring the camera and a tripod to grab a few snaps of what I was hoping would be a nice sunset. The great colours didn’t really happen but I was happy with the few shots I did manage. That late afternoon light really offers some great opportunity for nice images, no matter the colour of the sky.
If you are into photography, it’s pretty easy to get nice images with a half decent camera and a tripod – just be there for that last hour of light.

A perfect sky isn’t always required to get some nice landscapes but a tripod is essential.

Reflections always make a great subject in photography, especially when the sunset isn’t offering too much.
