Each year, the staff from Newcastle Central Coast Wedding Magazine go in search of a cover image that will grab attention amongst the great choice on the newsagents stands. This request goes out to all photographers and for the 2nd time in recent years a photo taken by Impact Images was chosen for this annual edition.
The beauty of the cover for us is that it’s a real wedding of a real couple not an image that was orchestrated, planned and carefully lit with loads of time. The cover features Antony and Cassie who recently featured on our blog. It was a great day and what a great prop their good friends VW Combi made!
For this image I had less than a minute to grab. The combi was available for five minutes at the very beginning of the location shoot and I wanted to get a few images with Antony and Cass as well as the grooms-men on their own. After a quick look at the available light and the background on offer it was a matter of parking the combi, a little direction for Cass and away we went. A couple of frames later this was the result.
