Do you find yourself always selecting ‘Auto’ on your camera but always thinking how good it would be to actually use all the other options and controls? Do you have a new camera and don’t know where to start? Would you love to get to a photography course but don’t have the time? I may have the answer for you…
Are you confused by the terms exposure, aperture, shutter-speed, ISO, fill flash, and centre weighted metering?
Want to go beyond auto on your camera?
You can, and I’m going to help you to drive your camera like the Ferrari it is instead of the Mitsubishi you’ve been treating it like!

Push yourself a little and after three sessions you’ll be motoring along… in manual mode on your camera.
Almost every camera on the market today can do more than their owners are aware or capable of. These training sessions will be suitable for you if you own any SLR (a camera that you can change lenses on) or any point and shoot or compact camera that has manual settings available – with or without a pop-up flash.
The courses will be delivered in three weekly installments to give you a chance to learn each topic as we go and make sure you have a solid understanding before moving to the next step.
You will always have access to the training videos and can replay or rewind them at any time. The training videos were delivered to a live audience which means many questions are answered along the way but you can ask your own questions in the comments section below the videos – I encourage you to do so! I want to help you every step of the way.
By leaving your questions in the comments section, I can reduce the number of email answers I have to make which often end up being repeated over and over.
Here’s what you’ll learn in three weekly sessions:
- Exposure – what it is and how to control it
- Shutter speeds – what they are and which one to use for different circumstances
- Aperture – what it is, how it affect your photos and which aperture to select for varying effects
- ISO – what it is, how it affects all the other settings and which one to choose when
- Metering modes – what they are, when to change them, if at all, and why
- Shooting modes for portraits, action and landscapes
- Lenses, their effect on your images and which ones to use when
- Flash – when to use it and how to use it effectively
- Managing your images
- Plus more
Following each session, you’ll be given a simple assignment to make sure you have a full understanding of the topics covered.
If you have always wondered about photography, camera settings and getting great photos no matter the conditions – these sessions will be perfect for you. If you have limited time, can’t get to other courses because of family or other commitments – this course is for you.
All you need is a computer with speakers.
Here is the first video, hope you enjoy it and more importantly do something with it.
