Impact Images studio manager Linda Hellmich

This is hard work writing about myself, but no doubt once I start, I won’t be able to stop :-) !

A bit about myself…..

I was 12 years old when I moved to Australia from Scotland. Everyone knew I was the new kid at school as I spoke funny and I was the only girl wearing knee high socks!

I would love to stay in bed all day reading my book and eating the biggest block of chocolate I could find – unfortunately, this never happens!

Likes: being with my family and friends, going to the gym, reality TV, chocolate and reading.

Dislikes: rude & inconsiderate people.

Andrew & I met in March 1989 when we had both just finished school. We married in September 1996 and this is when Andrew purchased his first ‘proper’ camera. From here, Andrew was hooked taking photos although it was of fish and not of people.
Over the next few years, we had our two gorgeous sons Matthew & Jordan and during this time Andrew and I started our first business together, “Weddings, Portraits, Anything” from our home in Wyong. This was a very busy time for us, Andrew would be out shooting while I was at home looking after our boys and during their sleep times, I would be assembling wedding albums, doing the accounts, seeing clients and general running of the business.

Our workload increased and after some weird phone calls about our business name “Weddings, Portraits, Anything” asking if we really photographed ‘Anything’ – we changed our business name to Impact Images. By this time we had moved to Terrigal and had employed a couple of staff.

Fast forward a fair few years and I’m happy to say I still LOVE what we do!!

My boys are very active and love their sports which is great, this keeps me busy driving them to training and their soccer games. To add to my workload at Impact Images, Over the past 10 years, I’ve been the Manager for Mattie or Jordan’s soccer teams. For the past four years, I’ve been the Comp Registrar for Terrigal United Football Club – this is a busy role, but I love being involved behind the scenes.

Andrew asked me to write about my achievements, simple – the greatest achievement to me would have to be my family! I’ve married my soulmate and we have two fantastic boys!

There isn’t a day that goes by when Andrew and I don’t say how lucky we are – we have 2 gorgeous boys, an amazing marriage, wonderful staff and a successful business. We are so lucky with our staff as they have all been with us long term and when they have moved on – we have remained good friends and keep in regular contact. What else could we ask for?
