I loved the quirkiness of this little family portrait photography session.
Mum and Dad vowed not to be in any photos and hadn’t dressed for the event. I’m so glad they came round to my nagging and joined the fun.
The pink hat with the orange and blue striped shirt worked beautifully against the rustic setting and it all came together in this very cute Newcastle family portrait.
Although we generally advise to keep clothing plain and neutral for most family portrait shoots, this is a great example of colour working. If you’re ever in doubt for your family portrait and thinking of trying something a little different – bring it along. If it works we can keep it, if not, a simple change of shirt can change the look entirely.
The best way to love your family portraits is to make sure that it reflects you and your style.
I have some ideal location for bubs that are sitting up or toddlers that are running around. Areas that are protected from the road where we can safely let the kids run, crawl and mess around while still getting that great outdoor light and atmosphere.
